Synne Tollerud Bull is Professor of Media Art and Pro-dean of research at School of Arts, Design, and Media, Kristiania University of Applied Sciences. She co-leads WP2 in MishMash – Centre for AI and Creativity, one of six national AI research centres funded by the Research Council of Norway for the period 2025–2030, and serves as Deputy Director of the Kristiania AI Center (KAI). She is also a member of the European COST Action ARTinRARE, contributing to research on artistic intelligence and interdisciplinary knowledge production. She currently leads Kunstens co-pilot, funded through the Norwegian Arts Council. As part of the artist duo Bull.Miletic, she exhibits media artworks internationally and has received numerous grants and awards, including the Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival (2020) for Ferriscope. Her publications include Urban Images (Sternberg Press, 2011), Screen Space Reconfigured (AUP, 2020), Proxistant Vision (MIT Press, 2025), and Media Seas and the Blue Humanities (Routledge, forthcoming March 2026).
